A beach arrival, then the lagoon

Carambola Beach Club sits on South Friars Bay on St. Kitts’ Caribbean coast. It is the meeting place for the direct Stingray Lagoon encounter. Come to the beach club at least 15 minutes before your confirmed encounter time, tell staff you are booked for Stingray Lagoon and show your confirmation. The team will direct you a few steps to the lagoon.

Open directions to Carambola Beach Club. If you are taking a taxi, use the beach-club name and South Friars Bay rather than asking only for Frigate Bay. Plan transport from Port Zante; Carambola is not part of a short walk around central Basseterre.

Your welcome, briefing and gear fitting are part of the one-hour encounter. Bring swimwear and a towel, with dry clothing and your confirmation in a small bag.

Check what your booking includes

The direct encounter costs US$99 per person and lasts one hour. Pickup is not included; optional transportation choices and charges are shown at checkout. There is no Timothy Hill stop in the direct itinerary.

Cruise guests can instead choose a shore excursion with Port Zante pickup, a Timothy Hill photo stop and return transport. The US$124 option returns after the activity. The US$145 option includes two further hours at Carambola and a beach bed before the drive back. See the two shore-excursion itineraries before deciding how to spend your afternoon.

What is included with each visit?

The prices shown are per person in US dollars for the stingray packages. Academy of Rum uses its own live ticket calendar. Beach, restaurant and activity bookings should be checked individually; an activity at the venue does not automatically include every facility or rental.

Make space for beach time

Carambola’s official website places the club on South Friars Bay and lists its restaurant and beach rentals. At the venue, restrooms, a restaurant and a bar are available. A stingray reservation and a restaurant or beach rental reservation are different things, so check the inclusions of each.

A beach bed is included with our US$145 shore excursion. Other furniture and extras are not automatically included in a direct encounter. Ask about current availability and charges for anything you would like to add, including umbrellas, food and additional drinks. Consult Carambola’s own website for its current dining and rental arrangements.

If a leisurely lunch is part of your plan, allow time for it separately from the encounter. For cruise guests, agree the return meeting point and time with the driver before settling down at the beach.

Pack for both parts of the day

A small, practical bag is enough: swimwear, towel, dry clothing and suitable sun protection. Bring a way to protect your phone from splashes, and ask the team where belongings can be left during the encounter. Professional photos are available to purchase if you would rather enjoy the moment without managing a camera.

Planning lunch or dinner at Carambola

For dining, Carambola’s official site currently lists lunch service during cruise calls from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and dinner Wednesday through Monday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. It also distinguishes cruise-call beach rentals from arrangements on other days. Check the venue directly for your date, especially before building a meal around a booked activity.

These are venue dining details, not Stingray Lagoon departure times. Your encounter time comes from the booking calendar and confirmation. Leave a separate allowance for lunch, changing and your return pickup.
