Direct booking is US$99 per person. The US$124 shore excursion includes Port Zante pickup, a Timothy Hill photo stop and return to Port Zante after the activity. The US$145 option adds two hours of beach time and a beach bed before returning. All prices are in US dollars. The activity at Carambola lasts one hour.
What time does the stingray encounter depart?+
Stingray departures are at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, St. Kitts local time. The encounter lasts one hour. Direct guests should arrive at Carambola Beach Club at least 15 minutes before their confirmed start time. Port Zante pickups are 35 minutes before the lagoon session: 9:25 AM for 10:00 AM, 11:25 AM for 12:00 PM, and 1:25 PM for 2:00 PM. All times are St. Kitts local time.
Are stingrays friendly?+
Stingrays can be calm, curious and surprisingly approachable. During the encounter, the team helps you notice their different movements and personalities while guiding every interaction. Give them space to move naturally and follow the team’s directions so you can enjoy getting to know them at a comfortable pace.
Do I need to be able to swim?+
Be comfortable entering and standing in water. Swimming skills are not required for the main encounter. Contact the team before booking about mobility, assistance or other participation needs.
Are photographs included?+
Professional photographs are an optional extra. The team guides a photo opportunity with a stingray during the visit, taking the animals’ comfort and conditions into account. Ask about photo choices and prices on arrival.
Will we encounter nurse sharks?+
Optional snorkeling and nurse shark observation depend on conditions and operational availability. Nurse sharks are in a separate area from the stingray encounter.
How long is the experience?+
The activity at Carambola lasts one hour. The beach-break option adds two hours of beach time, making three hours at Carambola. What should I bring?+

Can I touch or hold a stingray?+
The team will guide you through appropriate contact with the rays, including holding a stingray during the photo moment. Follow their directions throughout, and do not handle the animals independently. Professional photographs are available at an additional cost.
Who cares for the stingrays?+
A dedicated Stingray Lagoon team feeds the rays, observes their behavior and general condition, maintains the lagoon environment and provides daily care.
Can I visit Stingray Lagoon if I’m travelling on a cruise?+
Yes. Both shore excursions include pickup at the St. Kitts Statue at Port Zante in Basseterre, a quick photo stop at Timothy Hill and the one-hour activity at Carambola. What happens if my ship arrives late or misses St. Kitts?+
If you booked the direct encounter, a full refund is available when your cruise ship cannot dock in St. Kitts or an itinerary change makes participation impossible, including within 48 hours. A late arrival alone is not listed as the same exception. Contact the booking team promptly. Do both shore excursions stop at Timothy Hill?+

When should I arrive for a direct booking?+
Arrive at Carambola Beach Club at least 15 minutes before your confirmed encounter time. Have your booking confirmation ready and tell the beach-club staff you are joining Stingray Lagoon. They will direct you to the nearby lagoon. See arrival details and the meeting-point map.
Can children join the stingray encounter?+
Children under 16 must be accompanied throughout by a participating adult, parent or legal guardian. The direct-booking listing accepts guests up to age 80. Confirm the correct ticket for each child in checkout and contact us about any assistance your family needs.
Can I cancel my direct stingray booking?+
Cancellation at least 48 hours before the experience is eligible for a full refund. Within 48 hours, bookings are nonrefundable except for the specified cruise missed-port or itinerary-change cases.
