St. Kitts Statue, Port Zante

Use the instructions on your confirmation for the exact pickup time and driver identification. A map search is a location aid; contact the team if anything is unclear.

COME COMFORTABLE

Who can take part?

The main encounter does not require swimming skills. You should be comfortable entering and standing in water. The team provides a briefing, orientation and gear fitting, then guides feeding and contact with the rays.

  • The current direct-booking listing accepts guests aged 80 and under.
  • Children under 16 must have a participating adult, parent or legal guardian with them throughout.
  • Contact the team before booking about mobility, medical conditions affecting participation or assistance you may need. The operator asks pregnant guests to consult their healthcare provider before participating.
  • Optional snorkeling and nurse shark observation depend on conditions and operational availability. Nurse sharks are in a separate area from the stingray encounter.

Bring the essentials

Booking confirmation, swimwear, a towel, sun protection and a payment method for optional photos or other purchases. Water shoes or comfortable footwear and a change of clothes are recommended.

Restrooms, a restaurant and a bar are on site. Food, additional drinks and professional photos cost extra. Beach furniture is included only where your selected package says so.

DIRECT ENCOUNTER BOOKINGS

If your plans change.

These terms were checked against the direct encounter’s FareHarbor listing on 3 October 2026. Review the terms shown for your booking before paying and keep your confirmation.

Direct stingray encounter: cancellation and refund conditions
SituationPublished condition
48 hours or more before your experienceEligible for a full refund.
Less than 48 hours before your experienceNonrefundable, except when your cruise ship cannot dock in St. Kitts or an itinerary change makes participation impossible.
Cruise ship unable to dock or itinerary change prevents participationEligible for a full refund, including within the 48-hour window.
No-show or late arrival resulting in a missed experienceNonrefundable.

Contact the booking team promptly if your ship’s plans change. A late ship arrival is not automatically the same as a missed-port or qualifying itinerary-change exception; ask how your booking is affected.

Booking a shore excursion or another activity?

Shore-excursion pickup and return times, cruise-change terms and cancellation conditions must be confirmed with the selected package before payment. Academy of Rum and other experiences have their own booking conditions. Do not assume the direct encounter’s policy applies to a different ticket.

ON THE DAY

Conditions and the animals come first.

Weather, sea conditions and animal welfare may require changes, suspension or cancellation. Contact the booking team about the options for an affected visit; the published policy does not specify a separate weather-refund arrangement.

Let the team guide your approach, feeding and photo moment. Give the rays space to move naturally and tell your guide if you would like help before taking part.

For cruise visitors, the one-hour encounter is the time at the activity. Port transfers, the Timothy Hill stop and any beach break add to the total excursion. Confirm a schedule that fits your ship’s all-aboard time.
